It Starts With Our Farm
Since 1972, we have been producing high-quality, Biodynamic® and organic foods while providing farm-based learning experiences for children and adults. Our 900-acre Demeter certified 650A Biodynamic® farm includes dairy cows, vegetables, a creamery, an organic bakery, a sauerkraut cellar, and more.
We are truly an ‘on farm’ store: in our produce section, you’ll find Biodynamic veggies grown in our Corner Garden located across the street from the store; many of our bakery items are made with flour ground from Biodynamic rye grown on our farm; milk from our 65-head dairy herd flows from our cows’ udders into a holding tank in our creamery – located next door to the milking barn – where we bottle raw milk, and produce cheeses, yogurt, buttermilk and quark. Our kraut cellar produces 14 different fermented products, including sauerkraut, probiotic beverages, kimchi, ginger carrots and hot sauce.
