It Starts With Our Farm

Since 1972, we have been producing high-quality, Biodynamic® and organic foods while providing farm-based learning experiences for children and adults. Our 900-acre Demeter certified 650A Biodynamic® farm includes dairy cows, vegetables, a creamery, an organic bakery, a sauerkraut cellar, and more.

We are truly an ‘on farm’ store: in our produce section, you’ll find Biodynamic veggies grown in our Agawamuck 12 Star Fields (formerly known as the Corner Garden) located across the street from the store; many of our bakery items are made with flour ground from Biodynamic rye grown on our farm; milk from our 65-head dairy herd flows from our cows’ udders into a holding tank in our creamery – located next door to the milking barn – where we bottle raw milk, and produce cheeses, yogurt, buttermilk and quark. Our lactofermentation enterprise (now located in Hudson, NY) produces 14 different fermented products, including sauerkraut, probiotic beverages, kimchi, ginger carrots and hot sauce.
